Location: Burnaby, BC
Our company is seeking for Senior Accountant for our Finance team.
Responsibilities:
- Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial data.
- Creating periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc.
- Maintaining accuracy in the financial records.
- Performing audits and resolving discrepancies.
- Computing taxes.
- Keeping informed about current local, provincial and federal legislation relating to finance and accounting.
- Perform financial analysis in the context of legal or potentially legal disputes
- Collaborates with the sales team to ensure the appropriate billing of consulting and implementation projects
- Ensure all financial deadlines are met in an accurate and timely manner
- Assisting management in the decision-making process by preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
- Other duties as required
The ideal candidate meets these following requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree, Accounting Diploma or relevant work experience.
- Enrolment in the CPA program is preferred
- Detail-oriented, excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure
- Good knowledge of MS Office, Quickbooks, Excel applications and Sage 50 accounting software
- Ability to work independently in a high volume environment
- Have at least 1 year of Canadian experience
- Prior accounting experiences in Vietnam is preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $38,480.00-$54,080.00 per year
